Weitz Senior Project Manager, Bill Hornaday Jr., honored as ENR Southwest 2023 Top Young Professional 

Each year, ENR Southwest recognizes 20 individuals under the age of 40 for their achievements and contributions to their companies and communities as Top Young Professionals.  

As one of the honored individuals, The Weitz Company’s Bill Hornaday Jr., was selected for his contributions to the company’s growth and success, industry involvement, and community outreach.  

Bill has been a Weitz team member for more than 15 years, steadily climbing his career ladder from Project Engineer II, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager I, Project Manager II, and Sr. Project Manager. Overseeing projects from $23M to $100M, Bill has proven to be an accomplished young professional with considerable talent who will continue to make big strides in the industry.  

He has been responsible for improving several processes with the company. He has served as the Safety Committee Chair, where he implemented policies and changes to maintain our Lead with Safety culture. Bill is known for being a trusted and reliable leader, upholding the company’s core values of respect for people and performance with absolute reliability. 

Additionally, Bill is an active member of the construction industry through his involvement with organizations such as the Arizona Builders Alliance, He is also actively committed to community service and participates in Support Sky Harbor Coalition Neighborhood Clean-Up, triARC’s kick for a cause, and Feed My Starving Children. 

From his career milestones and community outreach, to being a dedicated leader in developing the next class of construction leaders, The Weitz Company is ecstatic to see his achievements as a Top Young Professional recognized. 

Winners from each regional class of Top Young Professionals will be put forward for consideration in the national round of judging, which will decide ENR’s 2023 Top 20 Under 40. The national winners will be celebrated at ENR’s annual Top Young Professionals conference, which will be held March 8-10 in New Orleans.
