The McGraw-Hill Company Regional Headquarters

The Weitz Company provided preconstruction and construction services for this four-story office building. The 140,430-square-foot structure serves as the Regional Headquarters for McGraw-Hill Company. Weitz provided a schematic estimate, project scheduling, value analysis, three budget updates and a guaranteed maximum price estimate. The exterior is architectural precast with inlay brick, with four curtainwalls and punched windows. The steel frame is supported by a foundation consisting of piling under caps and slab on grade. The interior finishes include stone floors and walls, millwork, paneling, gypboard bulkheads and a cafeteria. Forty percent of the building is open space.
