Renewable Energy Group New Orleans Biodiesel

This 60 million gallon per year plant is situated in the heart of refinery country on the Mississippi River near New Orleans. The plant is an automated pre-treatment and transesterification process facility which will convert oil seed to biodiesel. The project includes extensive auger cast and timber piling under all process buildings and supporting structures to provide stability for poor soil conditions and hurricane rating. The facility also includes truck receiving and loadout, storage tanks including hazardous material, extensive piping and electrical instrumentation, waste water treatment facility, steam generation, cooling towers, fire protection tank and loop, as well as employee health and welfare facilities.
